A National League South match between Truro City and Folkestone Invicta was postponed on Saturday after a player suffered a medical emergency during the warm-up.
Yassine En-Neyah, 26, required medical assistance while warming up for Truro and was subsequently rushed to hospital.
Kick-off was initially pushed back before the match was ultimately postponed at 3:14pm GMT, 14 minutes after the original start time.
“Truro City can confirm that this afternoon’s match against Folkestone Invicta has been postponed,” Truro’s statement read.
“Yassine En-Neyah required medical assistance during the warm-up and was transferred to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford for further treatment.
“We will provide a further update in due course.”
En-Neyah came through the ranks at Nottingham Forest and made one senior appearance for the club, making his professional debut off the bench in an FA Cup third-round defeat to Chelsea in January 2020.
Born in Morocco, he moved to Dublin as a child and went on to represent the Republic of Ireland at youth level before making the switch to Forest as a teenager.
The midfielder returned to Ireland for spells at top-flight clubs Shelbourne and Waterford after not having his contract renewed at Forest in 2021, before moving to Truro for his first spell at the Cornwall club in February 2023.
He was with the club for the second half of a campaign in which they earned promotion to National League South – the first of two-back-to-back promotions – before joining Colchester United, where he didn’t make an appearance.
After a loan to Maldon & Tiptree, he returned to Truro in 2024 and has since played 79 games, with his only goal coming this season against Dagenham & Redbridge.
