Formula One returns for another week as the drivers get set for practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Betfred World Matchplay is beginning to get into the business end of the competition as we head into the quarter-finals.
We also head into day four of The Hundred as Birmingham Phoenix take on Trent Rockets.
F1 heads to Hungary
After Kimi Antonelli claimed his sixth Formula One victory of the season, he will be looking to take that form into the Hungarian Grand Prix which starts with first practice live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports F1 from midday. Second practice is also live on Sky Sports F1 at 3.45pm. Britain’s George Russell crashed out of the Belgian Grand Prix following a collision with compatriot Lewis Hamilton.
World Matchplay hots up
The second set of World Matchplay quarter-finals will get under way live at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Sky Sports Action at 8pm and Sky Sports Main Event at 9.30pm. Gerwyn Price saw off Rob Cross in the last round and he sets up a meeting with Ross Smith for a place in the last four, while James Wade continues his search for a second successive final in this competition when he faces Gian van Veen.
First round of The Hundred concludes
All the teams have played their first set of fixtures in the sixth edition of The Hundred, apart from Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets – the pair will conclude the first round live with coverage of the women’s game starting at 2.45pm on Sky Sports Cricket and 3pm on Sky Sports Main Event and the men’s game on the same channels from 6.00pm.
What else is on?
The Commonwealth Games is under way in Glasgow and there is action from swimming, basketball, boxing, powerlifting and gymnastics live on TNT Sports 2 from 8.30am and TNT Sports 4 at 6.30pm. The Tour de France is drawing closer to the finish line and Stage 19 will commence from Gap to Alpe d’Huez on TNT Sports 1 at 12:30pm. In golf, the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open continues on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Golf at 9.30am, the Senior Open Championship is on Sky Sports Golf at 1.30pm and 3M Open coverage is on the same channel at 7pm.
