Microsoft’s Xbox Series X-Bite Houses a Working Console Inside a Five Foot Alligator

Microsoft built a single Xbox Series X and sealed it inside a life-sized alligator that stretches more than five feet from snout to tail. The console remains fully playable. An illuminated Xbox Nexus button glows through the creature’s back so the machine can be powered on, while a custom wireless controller sits clenched between the open jaws, marked with simulated bite marks.

Green irises and X-shaped pupils complete the face. The John Nolan Studio, which has previously worked on creature designs for The Witcher and Jurassic World Dominion, was in charge of bringing this alligator to life – but it’s actually a bespoke Series X. The procedure began with 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication, which was so convincing that at first glance, you’d think it was a real specimen in a glass case rather than a beautiful plastic enclosure.

Florida’s wildlife served as the starting point. This is part of Microsoft’s November push in the state, and it coincides with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, which is set in the Sunshine State. They’re not directly mentioning the game, but the location, the size of the alligator, and the overall Miami mood from their Xbox marketing all point to it. There is only one of these custom consoles, which stands on a wooden pedestal and is intended for display; however, the Series X inside can still run games in the background.

The sweepstakes to win this thing is simple: you must have a public social media account on X, Instagram, or TikTok, follow the @Xbox account, re-share the original announcement, and manually enter the #XbiteSweepstakes hashtag. The entire event takes place between November 3rd at 9am PT and November 10th at 11:59pm PT, and only US residents over the age of 18 are eligible. The winner has 48 hours to claim their reward; otherwise, the game is over and the unit is awarded to the next person in line. The estimated value of this item is roughly $800, and to put everyone at ease, no live alligators were hurt in the creation of this machine.

Looking at it, this custom console appears to be in between a luxury game system and a prop from a film. You can still access the power, connections, and cooling and use the device normally, but the outside casing is what truly stands out. If you’ve seen folks construct custom Series X shells, this one takes it a step further by transforming the entire thing into a full-scale alligator with a gaming setup inside. More importantly, it’s a one-time opportunity, so if you want to win, you’d better enter before the contest closes in a week.
