Chelsea’s defensive vulnerabilities were on show again as Xabi Alonso’s side were held to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League against Hull City.
The Blues took just eight minutes to hit the front, Morgan Rogers lashing home past Konstantinos Tzolakis with a fierce left-footed effort.
But newly-promoted Hull turned the game on its head inside eight first-half minutes courtesy of a Mohamed Belloumi brace.
The Hull winger made the most of a Jarrel Hato mistake to lash home the equaliser, before his deflected strike from a corner put the Tigers ahead at the break.

Chelsea have not had a problem scoring goals this season, and found the equaliser when Joao Pedro slammed home Cole Palmer’s cross shortly after the hour.
Both sides had chance to win it, Rogers firing straight at Tzolakis inside the area, while Mohamed Ali-Cho spurned a golden chance at the back post, but ultimately had to settle for a point after a frenetic closing period.
