
The Premier League is entering a new era, as it turns away from the “big name” coaches to lesser-known managers.
For the first time, none of Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho or Guardiola are managing in the Premier League, instead replaced by lesser-known names. Mikel Arteta is the only current coach to have won the English league.
The Independent’s Miguel Delaney explains that whilst this year’s coaching lineup isn’t as famous, it certainly doesn’t mean it’s any less impressive, arguing that some of the new managers are focusing more intensely on tactics, training and preparation.
