Manchester United have sounded out Didier Deschamps as a potential replacement for Michael Carrick, according to reports in France.
Carrick’s position at Old Trafford is under threat as United have registered just one win in their last 10 games.
United appeared to be on course for a fourth consecutive defeat on Tuesday night but Mateus Cunha’s late double in the second half sealed a 3-2 comeback victory over Roma in the Champions League.
Replacements for Carrick have already been considered with Eddie Howe, Julian Nagelsmann, Antonio Conte and Unai Emery all on United’s shortlist.

Deschamps ended his 14-year stint as France’s head coach in the summer following their World Cup campaign.
The former Marseille, Juventus and Chelsea midfielder guided France to victory at the 2018 World Cup, while his side were beaten in the final by Argentina four years later.
